Marcellinus presbyter Luciferianus
Biography
Marcellinus, a Luciferian priest from the Lucifer stream in Cagliari, is known to us through his signature, along with Faustinus, on the Libellus Precum, in which he also appears as a victim of persecution. This Libellus is a plea to the emperors Valentinian II, Theodosius I and Arcadius in 383/384 to re-evaluate the status of Luciferians and not to treat them as heretics. He was probably from Rome, as he knew the Luciferians of Macarius quite well. Along with Faustin, he would even be a disciple of Macarius.
