A while back I came across a note somewhere, concerning de Lagarde's edition
of Jerome's Liber quaestionum hebraicarum in Genesim. De Lagarde published
an edition of this work in Leipzig in 1868. That edition, along with the
second (1888) edition of Jerome's Liber interpretationis hebraicarum
nominum, was reprinted in Corpus Christianorum, Series Latina, 72 (1959),
"edited" by .
Specifically, the note advised anyone intending to use the CCSL edition of
the Liber quaestionum to think twice, and instead to use the older edition
of the Maurists (1735; reprinted in PL 23, cols. 935-1009).

Questions on Genesis (Oxford, 1995), p. 27. He has used Vallarsi's edition
as reprinted in PL 23, instead of de Lagarde's edition (1868; repr. CCSL
72). He points out that the text printed in CCSL 72 "displays a number of
errors, misprints, and inaccuracies, especially in the transmission of Greek
and Hebrew forms." On the other hand, he finds de Lagarde's critical
apparatus "of particular value."
